2nd Nanosatellite Launcher Seminar

Team Phoenicia is proud to announce our second Nanosatellite Launcher Challenge seminar. We conducted the first one at Techshop - Menlo Park on November 7th, 2010. The second one will take place at both TechShop and our new facility next door on November 12th, 2011.

The first seminar was a great success, but could be improved upon. This will be upgraded to a two day event based on the feedback that we have received. Food and drink will be provided. There will be speakers in the vein of last time, but additionally all potential teams that wish to present will be able to do so on a first come, first serve basis until the slots are filled. Potential suppliers for the teams will also be given time to present as well.

More details soon.

We will be announcing the agenda soon, but

What and Where 4: Announcing the Shipyard

Team Phoenicia is proud to announce that we have moved into our new facility. We are the sole occupants of a 31,000 sq ft facility in Menlo Park, CA. The facility is divided roughly in thirds for office, manufacturing and warehouse space.

The facility, which we have affectionately nicknamed 'The Shipyard,' will allow the team to manufacture several scales of rockets, host seminars and fundraisers, and consolidate our efforts. We are extremely excited about this opportunity and hope to allow our first tours some time in September.

We are planning on hosting a nanosat launcher challenge seminar again, but this time in the new facility on or around Nov 12. A formal announcement will be made later this week.

Team Phoenicia is proud to announce the sale of its second engine to Seraphim Aerospace. They will be looking to go out and test at FAR at some point in the relatively near future, so those of you out that way...KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF! ahem. Seriously though, please, give them a warm welcome when they come out.

This is the second Z150 engine sold. This is the Z150-1106-002 pictured here.
